The challenge

Yeoman came to me looking to update and modernise their current website which was built on WordPress. They were using a single page format with a blog but were looking for complete website refresh to move the business forward and bring in more commercial work.

The project

The current site was geared towards domestic work and maintenance such as boiler servicing, it didn’t have any case studies or for the team to highlight the complex solutions they offer. I worked closely with Gavin and Sean to establish their new look and feel and provide creative direction on photography which really helped elevate the site.

Creating custom layouts in WordPress

The site has since expanded but when we first launched the site we split the home page into two clear routes for domestic and commercial to help users know exactly where to head from the home page and highlighted their three core services.

Yeoman had delivered some impressive renovation projects so we built a case study layout using a combination of slideshows, full width images and staggered galleries to showcase their projects and before and after transformation shots.

The site uses custom page layouts with drag and drop content areas so they can build their own flexible layouts and not have to follow one strict layout for every project or page. They’re both confident expanding the site themselves and making any imagery and content changes which has saved them money in the long term.

“In early 2018 Sofi Smith from All is Machine was recommended to us to revamp our website that was becoming a a little out dated and no longer suitably represented our company.

Today we still contact Sofi for help when we get stuck, and she always has the answer and can solve the problem for us.
