The Project

Cross Country Magazine is an International free flying magazine. The team have years of experience in print and online publishing but hadn’t updated their website in a long time. They had lots of great content on their site, over three thousand articles, but the site wasn’t responsive and their content was getting lost and becoming hard to digest for mobile users.

We gave the site a complete look and feel with a focus on content and imagery. Articles needed to feel like a printed item, with large glossy imagery and easy to read typography. The structure was re-visited into a magazine blog format with simple article categorisation and a custom Travel Guide area showing the best locations to fly by time of year or location.

We also added clear subscribe actions throughout the site and re-vamped their advertising slot control with easy placement customisation by page, post or area.
